Description

Trinity UCC offers early childhood care and education for low income families. The program uses the Creative Curriculum to foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and language development and encourage parental involvement in education. Service include:

  • Early Head Start for ages 6 weeks- 3 years
  • Head Start for ages 3-5
  • School readiness
  • Free field trips
  • Healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack provided

Eligibility

  • Parents must be working at least 20 hours per week or enrolled in a qualifying educational, vocational, or rehabilitative program. Private-pay families are exempt from this requirement.
  • Must meet income requirement of 165% or less of poverty guidelines.
  • Payment through CCAP is accepted. Fees are sliding scale based on family size and household income.
  • Private-pay tuition starts at $640 a month and varies based on child's age.
  • Children with disabilities or special needs are welcome
  • *Denton Brooks serves children ages 2-5 only. *

How to Apply

To begin the enrollment process, call at 773-966-1605 to schedule an appointment or walk in to the executive office after 10:00am to complete an application. You must bring the following documentation:

  • Proof of employment, school enrollment, or participation in an approved training program
  • Proof of income
  • Child's birth certificate
  • Child's immunization records and full physical

If you are eligible, you will be added to the wait list and notified when a spot is available. The waiting list is prioritized according to need. When a slot becomes available, staff will work with you to enroll your child and determine a tuition plan. Wait time varies based on child's age and family's need for care.
