Description
The Learning Center offers employment assistance as well as financial and future education counseling. Adult Literacy and GED preparation classes are offered on site. In addition, a computer lab provides training in basic and job-related computer skills.

How to Apply
See registration information for upcoming registration and test dates. Registration can be done on site at The Learning Center or at Malcolm X for those wishing to attend classes at The Learning Center. If registering at Malcolm X, be sure to indicate on forms that you plan to attend classes at The Learning Center. There are also 2 forms to be completed at The Learning Center office.
Students at The Learning Center are not required to attend the formal orientation given my Malcolm X. Instead, they are given a small orientation the second week of classes.
Fall 2018 classes begin August 20.
When registering, show a current photo ID to demonstrate residency. If ages 16-17, provide a release form from the last high school attended. All new students must attend an orientation prior to the start of classes. Registration main location is at: Malcolm X Registration, 1900 West Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL in Room 4307. Call The Learning Center at 773-277-3111 for more information about its classes held on site during office hours: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
ABE classes are M-Th 9:00am-1:00pm; ESL and HiSET classes are M-Th 9:00am-11:00am or 11:00am-1:00pm.
